چکیده
In solar resource assessment, the climatological environment of target area is objectively quantified by cloudiness or clear sky index, which defined as ratio global horizontal irradiance to insolation. The model calculates incoming on ground surface considering several atmospheric parameters such water vapor and aerosol optical depth. This study investigated importance depth for deriving in radiative transfer models examined its viability a universal community public use. evaluation was conducted based observations at Korea Institute Energy Research (KIER) station from January December 2021. original simulation performed using monthly mean obtained Aerosol Robotic Network station; absolute error 29.9 W m−2. When daily situ KIER incorporated into model, reduced 9.7 Our results confirm that gridded datasets suitable use model.

Aerosol Optical Depth Spatial and Temporal Variability Using Satellite Data Over Indian Major Cities
Introduction: The study’s main aim is to investigate the long-term variation of Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD). It also aims to show the relationship between meteorological parameters. This study evaluates long-term (2010 to 2021) special and temporal changes over major Indian regions using satellite-based data from NASA’s Terra Satellite. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out during ...
متن کاملAerosol Optical Depth Prediction from Satellite Observations
Aerosols are small airborne particles that both reflect and absorb incoming solar radiation and whose effect on the Earth’s radiation budget is one of the biggest challenges of current climate research. To help address this challenge, numerous satellite sensors are employed to achieve globalscale monitoring of aerosols. Given the satellite measurements, the common objective is prediction of Aer...
متن کاملParameterization of clear-sky surface irradiance and its implications for estimation of aerosol direct radiative effect and aerosol optical depth
Aerosols impact clear-sky surface irradiance () through the effects of scattering and absorption. Linear or nonlinear relationships between aerosol optical depth (τa) and have been established to describe the aerosol direct radiative effect on (ADRE). However, considerable uncertainties remain associated with ADRE due to the incorrect estimation of (τa in the absence of aerosols). Based on data...
متن کاملSpatial variation of aerosol properties over Europe derived from satellite observations and comparison with model calculations
Aerosol optical depths (AOD) and Angström coefficients over Europe were retrieved using data from the ATSR-2 radiometer on board the ESA satellite ERS-2, for August 1997. Taking advantage of the nadir and forward view of the ATSR-2, the dual view algorithm was used over land to eliminate the influence of the surface reflection. Over sea the AOD was retrieved using only the forward observations....
متن کاملTropospheric Aerosol Climate Forcing in Clear-Sky Satellite Observations over the Oceans.
Tropospheric aerosols affect the radiative forcing of Earth's climate, but their variable concentrations complicate an understanding of their global influence. Model-based estimates of aerosol distributions helped reveal spatial patterns indicative of the presence of tropospheric aerosols in the satellite-observed clear-sky solar radiation budget over the world's oceans. The results show that, ...
